BACKGROUND
Originally
formed in 1998, The Chitterybite Ceilidh Band have an established
track record operating as a ceilidh collective providing top quality
traditional musicians for corporate and private ceilidh dance events.
The line up includes the following: caller/fiddler, caller/fiddler,
fiddler, guitarist/piano & backing vocals, guitarist/piano player
and singer, whistle player/percussionist, bouzouki/ mandolin &
singer, accordionist.
CLIENTS
Clients
include BBC Children in Need, Athens St Andrews Society, The Glenmorangie
Company, the Lighthouse, Glasgow University Union, Sloans Bar and
Depra the Food Standards Agency.
VENUES
Chitterybite
have played in a range of venues including Glasgow Moathouse, the
Old Fruitmarket, Edinburgh Castle, the Athens Intercontinental Hotel,
Seamill Hydro, Crieff Hydro, the George Hotel Edinburgh, Oran Mor,
and Arta.

Dances include The Dashing White Sargeant, The Gay Gordons, Orkney
Strip the Willow, Various waltzes, The Virginia Reel, Eightsome
Reel, Canadian Barndance, a set of Scottische's and The Flying Scotsman.
The band also perform various slow airs and assorted jigs and reels
in between dances if required..
The
band perform various songs throughout our set in order to break
things up a bit and to give people a wee breather from the dancing!
